In second place was Zac Efron's '17 Again,' which brought in $11.7 million over the weekend after debuting at No. 1 last week. The movie stars Efron as the teenage version of Mike O'Donnell, a thirty something husband and father played by Matthew Perry.
The street brawling flick 'Fighting' -- starring Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard -- debuted in third with an estimated $11.4 million.
'The Soloist' -- in which Robert Downey Jr. plays a journalist who befriends a homeless musician portrayed by Jamie Foxx -- opened in fourth place with $9.7 million. Disney's nature documentary 'Earth' debuted in the fifth spot with $8.6 million
